Where are you located?
We are located in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.

Should I work with someone local?
Since all communication is done through email and telephone, we can work with anyone in any area. Working this way is also more cost and time efficient than meeting in person.

I have a small business; can you work with me?
SpiderBytes Design specializes in small business websites! We create websites that are well designed and full of rich content. We prefer to work with small businesses, organizations and even individuals.

What are the costs?
Costs for our services vary from job to job depending on such factors as the number of pages required, whether logos, illustrations and photographs are provided or need to be created and supplied by us, if you have copy or it needs to be written by us, and whether java scripting, flash presentations or forms will need to be incorporated into the site. The "average" cost for a single page, designed by us with your content, and coded in html, is approximately $200.00 to 250.00.

How do I pay?
Payments are usually done in three installments. After initial consultation with you, we will begin work as soon as we receive a deposit of one third of the quoted price. The final two thirds are due at the time of completion.

How do I get information and files to you?
We will work with you to help you send your content to us, in the proper file format, via email.

How do we communicate?
All communication is done through email and telephone.

How long does it take?
Due to the custom work that is involved in developing a single or multi-page website, it is very hard to predict exact turn around time. We will however, work with you to complete the project in a timely manner and will strive to make any reasonable deadline. Delays can occur when we require an action from you, and it is not acknowledged on time. This sort of action can greatly increase the turn around time.
It is a safe estimate to expect at least one to two months for your web project to be completed. Single page sites usually require one to two weeks for completion.

I have designed my own website and I have the necessary Photoshop files. Can you code my site for me?
Yes, we can code your site for you at a much reduced rate from our custom work provided that all files are the proper resolution, size and are in a layered Photoshop format. You can reduce the cost further by providing images separately in the exact pixel size needed, in jpeg, GIF or png format. We are not responsible for errors on your part and there will be additional costs to correct such errors.

I do not have any content for my site. Can you help?
We are experienced in various forms of graphic design and we can create and supply content such as logos, illustrations and photographs. Please be aware that these services are at additional cost.

What exactly is the finished "product"?
The finished "product" is a website file packaged with all the necessary html, image and script files required for uploading to your server. We can send these files to you on cd for transfering to your server, or we will work with you to register a domain name and purchase service as well as taking care of all the necessary procedures to do a file transfer to make your site "live".
Please be aware that registering a domain name and taking the necessary procedures to secure a hosting account requires a small additional fee.

Who will own the copyright to my site?
After we complete your site and payment is made, the site is completely owned by you. We will keep a copy of your file for our records, in case revisions and/or additions are ever requested by you. Please be aware that we reserve the right to use a link or an image of your site for promotional purposes.

How does the entire process work?
After the initial consultation by telephone and/or email, we will send you a questionnaire to help us envision what you have in mind for your site. After we receive all of your ideas, suggestions and comments, we will give you specific recommendations for how we envision your site. We may ask for examples of sites that you like, color palettes, special needs and even examples of your competitor's sites.
Once an agreement is made, you will receive a formal proposal stating all work required, prices and payment schedule.
We will then work with you to design your site and jpeg files will be sent to you via email for your approval. Revisions are to be made to the site during the design phase and not during the actual coding. Revisions after approval of the design will incur additional costs.
